Respecting, Serving, & Supporting Our Community

At RiverFront, we are committed to making a meaningful difference in the communities where we live and work. Our three pillars of investing in our community are:

  • Charitable Giving of Time and Talent
  • Supporting Local Organizations and the Arts
  • Supporting the Interests of our Associates.

RiverFront offers to provide Matching Gifts when our associates make personal contributions, up to $500 annually. We also encourage our associates to volunteer at the organizations of their choice, allotting four hours per month of Paid Volunteer Time (in addition to firm sponsored volunteer opportunities.)

Our REACH (RiverFront's Engagement with And Commitment to our Hometowns) Committee serves as liaison with our communities partners, organizes volunteer opportunities and fundraisers, and manages our Annual Charitable Giving Partner relationship.

Charitable Giving Partners

Each year our firm selects an Annual Charitable Giving Partner, a non-profit organization in our community where our goal is to make significant contributions both financially and through volunteerism. In addition to choosing a new partner annually, we strive to remain connected to our past Partners long-term.

Our 2020 Charitable Giving Partner is the Richmond Community ToolBank. The Richmond Community ToolBank's Mission is to serve community-based organizations by providing tools, equipment & expertise to empower their most ambitious goals. They provide the literal tools that over 200 nonprofit groups and 10,000 volunteers use every year to make Richmond and surrounding counties healthier, safer and more vibrant for everyone.

A Message from our 2020 Charitable Giving Partner

“The Richmond ToolBank is a young and lean nonprofit that has empowered nearly 300 nonprofits and 80,000 volunteers with the tools & equipment that they need to complete about 5,000 transformational projects around the Richmond region in just the last few years,” said Toby Vernon, ToolBank Executive Director. “But the fact is, the only way we're able to equip the entire nonprofit and volunteer sector here is through the generosity of partners like RiverFront Investment Group. Through this partnership, RiverFront has chosen to invest in our mission with hundreds of hours of direct volunteer service and an extremely generous $25,000 financial contribution that will help advance our growth and outreach goals by leaps in 2020. We're so humbled and privileged to have the opportunity to work side-by-side with the entire RiverFront team to make Richmond safer, healthier, more beautiful and equitable for everyone.”

"In years past, my family has supported the Marine Raider Foundation through the Seaside Semper Five, a 5k run honoring Marines. Since joining RiverFront, my fellow associates have contributed to this cause, making our race team one of the top fundraisers for the event!" Julie Gibbs, Chief Compliance Officer
