Az serves as Chief Data Architect, bringing over 25 years of experience ranging from chip level troubleshooting, and network management, to software development, and managing database systems. Prior to joining Riverfront, Az served as Senior Application Database Architect with the Department of Social Services, managing the data team at the Department of Corrections, and developing automated processing of taxes at the Department of Taxation. Az also spent a decade working in the financial industry developing technical analysis-based trading system, at Chesapeake Capital, financial modeling at Gamma Capital, and supporting the trading desk at MassMutual Oppenheimer Funds (now a part of Invesco). He has experience consulting with clients to provide database and application related services.
Az earned his MS in Information Systems from Virginia Commonwealth University, and BS in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Madras, India.
Az has been working with SQL server since the SQLNT days (v4.21) and is involved with the local and virtual SQL server user groups - presenting, learning, and volunteering. He enjoys non-competitive running and a game of chess anytime!
