Willene joined RiverFront in early 2012 as Portfolio Administrator & Trader, bringing 19 years’ experience in portfolio administration and performance reporting. In this role, Willene handles account maintenance responsibilities for new and existing relationships. She also acts as a liaison between the back offices of RiverFront and its sponsor firms.
Willene began her investment career at Wheat First Butcher Singer in 1993 as a portfolio administrator in the consulting services area. From 1998 to 2004, Willene was promoted through leadership positions from Senior Portfolio Administrator to Team Leader to Manager of Portfolio Administration, managing a team of 25 associates who were responsible for internal trading, contributions and withdrawals, reconciliation, corporate actions and other operational duties at Wachovia Securities. In 2008 she was named Process Manager of Performance Reporting and Measurement, overseeing the calculation of both internal and external composite returns for the numerous managed money platforms on the Wachovia system and developing the policies and procedures for these calculations. Willene continued to enhance her expertise in pursuing various industry courses and representing the firm at industry seminars and conferences. Her contributions were recognized through Wachovia Excellence First awards and the Wachovia Premier Advisor award.
Willene was a Physical Therapy major at Virginia Commonwealth University and studied religion at Virginia Union University.
The Art: It’s a balancing act and an art to manage spending time with her husband, two wonderful daughters, extended family and friends, participating in ministries and events with her church, keeping up with Wall Street and still finding time to be a soccer mom.
